Cambridge Wooden Swing Set

This is our most rugged swing set. The swing extension has a patented bracketing system that eliminates any movement while everyone is swinging on the two sling swings and two passenger glider at the same time. All of the corner posts on the tower and the “A” frame on the swing extension are 4 by 4 construction; the “swing beam” is an even larger timber being 4 by 6. The overall dimensions of the tower are nearly 4 feet by 7 feet which gives the children 28 square feet of fun and game play space on the 5 foot high play platform in the tower. The tower is loaded with features: the access ladder is constructed with flat wooden steps and comes with access ladder rails.

We added a solid rock wall with a knotted rope to assist in their ascent onto the tower from the back side of the gym. The unit has a wooden roof, lunch counter, 10 foot structural foam slide, play walls around the built in sandbox on the lower level.

The Cambridge Wooden Swing Set is available with a 4" x 6" wooden swing bar or a Monkey Ladder from which the swings hang from. In addition, you can select either rope or chains to hang the swing seats from. Each unit comes with a Sling Swing, a Back-to-Back Glider Swing and a Ring Trapeze.

Safe Play Area:

The Safe Play Area refers to a zone extending 6' beyond the playset on all sides, including the slide and the space above the Playset. Because children may deliberately jump from a moving swing, the Safe Play Area must be extended to 14 in front of and behind a swinging accessory.

The ground surface must be level. Installing your Playset on sloping ground can cause it to lean. This leaning puts additional stress on all connections and joints and in time will cause those connections to loosen and fail.

The Safe Play Area must be free of all structures, landscaping, trees and branches, rocks, wires, and other obstacles to safe play. Children can be seriously injured running, or swinging into these obstacles.

Remove all tripping hazards from the Safe Play Area. Tripping hazards include; roots, stumps, rocks, landscaping, sprinkler heads, railroad ties, plumbing and electrical connections.

Do not install your Playset over concrete, gravel, asphalt, packed earth, or any other hard surface.

Any edging used to contain the ground cover must be beyond the Safe play Area. (i.e.. Landscape Timbers)
